MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING

MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING
Or having the courage to 'drop the act'

In Much Ado About Nothing Beatrice and Benedick are skilled jokers but remain too nervous of their true feelings to be really authentic. They can't 'drop the act' of what they need people to think they are. It's the age old problem of never losing face.

This workshop examines such themes as:

  • Being a good communicator and using language and its rhythms with confidence.
  • What 'masks' do we wear in our lives and why?
  • Developing the courage of honesty and the ability to express authentic feelings when we need to.

In the spirit of the play, the workshop is filled with games and exercises that address these issues while having fun doing it.

These include:

  • The hip hop hour and 'rap off'
  • The Masked Ball
  • The Messina Forum
  • Tea with Dogberry
